Achraf holds a bachelor's degree in Quality Management System and pursued a master’s degree in Integrated Management in Quality, Safety, and Environment while starting his career in the oil and gas sector. This combination of academic and practical experience laid the foundation for his professional growth in safety and environmental management.
Currently, Achraf works in Thyna Petroleum Services (TPS), a joint venture between the Tunisian National Oil Company (ETAP) and the Norwegian exploration and production (E&P) company PANORO Energy. With 12 years of experience in the industry, he has focused on HSSE oversight for operations and workover campaigns, starting in the field. Since 2020, he has been serving as an HSSE and Process Safety Engineer, where he bridges field operations, including onshore and offshore, with management. His work emphasizes continuous improvement in safety culture, operational safety, and risk prevention.
Recently elected as a member of the Management Committee of MOIG for the period 2024–2026, Achraf is committed to advancing the organization’s mission of promoting continual improvement in oil spill response capabilities across the Mediterranean Sea through mutual cooperation. He obtained certifications such as : Oil Spill Response IMO Level 3, NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH PSM, and ISM ATEX Level 2, which enhance his ability to address critical safety and environmental challenges. His active participation in oil spill and pollution response workshops further underscores his dedication to environmental protection and emergency preparedness in the region.
Through his role in TPS and MOIG, Achraf aims to contribute his expertise to strengthen regional cooperation, enhance oil spill response readiness and support sustainable development for the Mediterranean community.
